For upcoming 4th of July cookouts – a twist on original barbecued chicken recipe for your outdoor entertaining. This soy, ginger, and Tabasco marinade will give the chicken a bold and spicy Asian flavor that are sure to be your new barbecue hit.
Ingredients:
1/4 Cup sesame seeds, toasted
1/4 Cup minced ginger
2 Tablespoons sesame oil
2 Tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1 Tablespoon Tabasco brand Original Red Sauce
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 Teaspoon salt
One 3 1/2-pound chicken, cut up into four pieces
Directions:
Combine the sesame seeds, ginger, sesame oil, vinegar, Tabasco Sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and salt in a large bowl.
Stir in the chicken until well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, turning occasionally.
Preheat the grill to medium or oven to 450 degrees.
Place the chicken on the grill rack or broiler pan.
Cook the chicken, basting frequently, with the Tabasco Sauce mixture, until the juices run clear when the chicken is pricked with a fork, about 15 minutes on each side.
